Radiac Adds Pink and White Surface Grinding Segments to Complete Standard Stock Offering

Radiac Abrasives, this country’s premier manufacturer of surface grinding segments has responded to the industry’s need for a more varied offering of standard stock segments in both Pink and White Abrasive.   In addition to our Good, Better, Best offering in Salt & Pepper, 8A, and Ceramic segments, new Pink and White segments are now available from stock in standard CD, CDXL, CDXTL, NO, and STG18A segment styles.

Those familiar with the grinding wheel industry are well aware of the importance of a controlled, well supervised, documented wheel test; monitored by an experienced individual capable of reacting to any deviation that may impact the results. All the resources expended to prepare for a meaningful test can be compromised if the trial is not administered properly. Also, with cost and time restraints, manufacturers are not always able to devote the resources necessary to conduct a viable test.

February 10, 2006 -- Radiac Abrasives announced today that WestView Capital Partners, a Boston, MA private equity firm, along with the current management of the company have acquired 100% of the capital stock of Radiac Abrasives, Inc. Radiac is the second largest manufacturer of bonded abrasives and superabrasive grinding wheels in the United States. Radiac and its predecessor companies have been manufacturing abrasives for over 115 years providing a full line of custom grinding product to its customers across various industrial markets including aerospace, oil and gas, primary metals and automotive.
